Industrial safety valves are crucial for many industries. That is why each safety valve created by our experts is developed to meet the exact needs of your industry. Below are some of the core features we take into account for you:
- Automatic Pressure Relieving: Protection to your pressurized systems like boilers and pressure vessels is an assurance offered by our safety valves due to their automatic release once the pressure rises above the limit.
- Durability and Reliability: Long-lasting performance and minimal maintenance is what you achieve with high-quality materials and a sturdy design in these safety valves.
- Adjustable Set Point: To meet the requirements of your equipment, the valves can be adjusted with the pressure threshold set point.
- Versatile Design: Our range comprises spring-loaded, pilot-operated, and balanced bellows safety valves available in various configurations to fit several applications.
- Certification and Compliance: WKT's safety valves bear all the relevant international certifications and regulations to make sure that they will fit perfectly with your very demanding industry.
WKT IPVF is able to offer different performance indicators and adaptability requirements related to applications( like full lift safety valve and pilot operated safety valve). In terms of specification details, the safety valves by WKT IPVF are as follows:
- Pressure rating: WKT Valves has been able to offer low-pressure systems up to high-pressure systems with pressure ratings ranging from 10 PSI to several thousand PSI.
- Size selection: The custom size options of diameter vary between 1/2 inch and 8 inches, adequately fitting any piping system or required application.
- End connection method: Different end connections such as flange, thread, or welding are installed to suit the method used in joining the existing system.
- Temperature range: The valve is made in all types of temperature ranges so that it can work well in their various thermal surroundings.
The customization material selection must meet the standards of durability and corrosion resistance in the industrial safety valve's performance and service life. The materials used to make each WKT Valve are optional and meet these standards of durability and corrosion resistance. Optional materials are:
- Stainless Steel: Good corrosion resistance and strength make stainless suitable for use in chemical processing and other hostile environments.
- Carbon Steel: This is the cheapest alternative and works well for common purposes when corrosion is not the main concern.
- Nickel Alloy: In high-end applications, we have valves made of nickel alloys that show excellent heat and corrosion performance.
- Special Coating: In areas demanding extra cover, the valves shall be prepared with specialized coatings to upgrade their performance level regarding abrasion or corrosion.
Custom safety valves are most critical components throughout many applications when it comes to ensuring safe operation and averting catastrophic equipment failure. A few common application scenarios include the following:
- Petrochemical Industry: Overpressure protection of storage tanks and processing equipment guarantees safety for highly volatile contents.
- Power Generation Industry: In the steam system, safety valves avert boiler overpressure, thus precluding a possible explosion as well as damage to equipment. (For example, the Insulated Jacket Safety Valve can ensure safety in high-tech and high-pressure steam environments. )
- Food Processing: The safety valves that we have installed adhere to the stringent standards of food safety; this assures that all autoclaves and pasteurizers will function in a safe manner.
- Pharmaceutical Industry: The safety of sensitive processing equipment in pharmaceutical manufacturing is guaranteed, with compliance to industry regulations.
- Mining and Water Treatment: Applied in different areas for the purpose of assuring safe operation and not allowing over-pressurization of the system's pumping equipment.
- Accuracy and customization: WKT IPVF customized valves are designed to meet specific operational requirements, ensuring precise control of fluid flow, pressure and temperature.
- Reliability: Depending on the application, custom valves take into account your unique conditions and challenges, resulting in increased reliability and avoiding the errors associated with standard fitting valves.
- Design Flexibility: Our highly trained engineers are willing to be flexible in their designs. We work with all of our customers to find the right solution for you, and because our manufacturing is done in-house, we have the ability to make decisions on almost every decision.
- Versatile material options: Different industries and applications require valves to handle specific fluids and corrosive environments. Our custom valves can be made from plastic, stainless steel, aluminium and brass materials that are best suited to the - given conditions, ensuring longevity and resistance to wear and corrosion.
- Rapid response and change: We understand that your needs change and that some industries change more than others. Our engineers are willing to work with you to modify or redesign prototypes to meet your changing needs.
1. What is the difference between a safety valve and a pressure relief valve?
Safety valves open fully at the set pressure to prevent over-pressurization, while pressure relief valves can control flow and operate at any pressure above the set point. Except for general liquid service, pressure relief valves are not recommended for steam applications.
2. How do I determine the appropriate set pressure for a safety valve?
We will determine the set pressure based on the MAWP of the system. Please also refer to engineering specifications and the applicable safety standards for guidance in selecting the set point.
3. Can WKT IPVF customize a safety valve for a unique application?
Yes! With a dedicated team for custom engineering solutions, we can design and fabricate safety valves that can cater to specific requirements and challenging operating conditions.
4. How frequently should safety valves be replaced or checked?
It is standard practice to carry out a periodic inspection and testing of safety valves in line with pertinent industrial standards—usually once every twelve months, or more frequent based on the operational environment and as per the manufacturer's recommendation.
