Customised Materials
The butterfly valves are available in a variety of options depending on the specific working conditions and medium. The valve body and disc materials can be cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc. to fit different pressure and temperature conditions. On the other hand, sealing surface materials can be synthetic rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or other non-metallic materials as well as metal hard seal materials. Also, the valve seat can be made of PTFE, synthetic rubber, metal and other materials to ensure proper sealing performance and durability. In special cases where specific requirements have to be met with regard to anti-aging or corrosion resistance or even high-temperature resistance, then special material properties can also be considered.

Butterfly valves are suitable for a wide range of industrial applications due to various butterfly valve types, especially for systems requiring flow regulation. As butterfly valves have relatively large pressure loss in pipelines, they are more suitable for pipeline systems that do not require strict pressure loss. Soft seal eccentric butterfly valves are suitable for bi-directional opening, closing and regulating of ventilation and dust removal pipelines, and are widely used in metallurgy, light industry, electric power and petrochemical systems for gas pipelines and waterways. Metal-to-metal double and triple eccentric butterfly valves are suitable for city heating, steam supply, water supply, gas, oil, acid and alkali pipelines as regulating and cutting off devices, and are also widely used in petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, metallurgy, electric power, etc.

Custom Cases
A major desalination plant in our industrial estate on the seafront has recently installed 12" 150LB WAFER butterfly valves supplied by WKT, a Chinese butterfly valves manufacturer. Cast Steel WCB 40” 150LB RF Flange Triple Offset Metal-To-Metal Butterfly Valve With Gear Box
At a large petrochemical plant, our complex fluid control system has 40" 150LB RF Flanged Triple Eccentric Metal Hard Seal Butterfly Valves with gearboxes from WKT. These butterfly valves are specially designed for HP & HT service where the performance of the valve is good enough at elevated temperatures and pressures. The metal hard seal construction precludes seat deformation during higher temperature applications and provides positive shut off even in the lowest differential pressure situations, working to reduce wear during valve operation further. It is made of ASTM A890 4A and features full-bore design meeting API 609 design standards and API 598 inspection standards, therefore very efficient fluid control and reliability in chemical processes. Gearbox operation makes it easy to control, while this time with Lug connections to ASME/ANSI B16.5 standard it means that it will fit into your existing pipework. The triple eccentric design reduces operating torque at the same time enhancing valve opening and closing efficiency plus extending service life.
